After spending some time working in the tourism industry we noticed a lot of businesses listed on local tourism websites didn't have suitable images showcasing their hotel, b&b or cottage. The most common problems are that images aren't good enough quality (they appear stretched or blurry) or the image doesn't actually feature the accommodation. Some listings didn't have any images at all.
We didn't get around to contacting businesses and offering to take professional shots of their hotels or self catering cottages, but we're on to it now. What we'll do:
To cover us both, we'll ask you to sign a little disclaimer just stating you're happy for us to be taking photographs of your property and that you're also happy for us to upload images to your listings. We will also sign a disclaimer to confirm we will destroy any usernames/passwords/email addresses associated with your business once the photographs have been uploaded.
Once you're happy and the project is complete, we will sent over all photographs taken by us and you are free to use these whenever and wherever you like.
This service is open to all accommodation types: Hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Self Catering cottages, Camp Sites and Hostels.
If you're struggling to get some good photographs or just need a bit of help uploading pictures to either your own website or tourism listing websites, give us a shout. Remember a photograph is probably the first thing a potential visitor will see of your property so it makes sense to make it a decent picture!
Umbraco is an open source content management system that powers some of the largest and well known companies and brands all over the world. Peugeot, Heinz and Costa Coffee all use Umbraco to run their websites. With a multitude of fantastic features, the CMS allows even non-techie clients the ability to update their website themselves at any time and anywhere.
We have been using Umbraco for the last 5 years and we have never come across a problem. We've had nothing but praise from our clients who all took less than half an hour to get used to the system and begin adding new pages and content to their website.
