Paul McCarthy was born in 1945 in Salt Lake City. He studied at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City (1968-69); earned. Paul McCarthy is widely considered to be one of the most influential and groundbreaking contemporary American artists.
Born in 1945, and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, he first established a multi-faceted artistic practice, which sought to break the limitations of painting by using unorthodox materials such as bodily fluids and food. LAMA is pleased to offer a selection of Paul McCarthy works in the upcoming October 12, 2014 Modern Art & Design Auction. The selection includes a large-scale photograph from McCarthy's landmark Tokyo Santa performance, a group of four black and white polaroids, and a work on paper from Rosamund Felsen Gallery.
